RN Notification

The RN Supervisor/Manager or Director of Nursing should be notified immediately with any of the following situations:

• Any change in resident condition

• Resident incidents, accidents, falls, injuries, or allegations of abuse or mistreatment

• Staff incidents, accidents, injuries, personal emergencies

• Medication errors

• Elopement or unsafe wandering

• Medications or supplies not available

• Staffing issues

• Any equipment malfunction

• Any loss of services (phone, computer, electricity, water, heat, etc)

• Any emergency situation (fire, flood, intruder, bomb threat, etc)

• Incorrect narcotic count

• Resident property missing

• Angry or very upset family member

• Resident or staff member not following facility policy

• Safety issue
